What is Coaching?

Coaching is a powerful commitment and partnership that employs a thought-provoking and creative process that focuses on connecting people to performance, personally and professionally, through the concept of empowerment.

Coaching is all about change. It helps people to clarify objectives and to discover more effective approaches for achieving those objectives.

There are four main areas that coaching focuses on:

(1) Performance – Focus on addressing the strengths that enhance and overcoming issues that inhibit your performance.

(2) Dialogue – Focus is NOT based on telling. Assuming nothing, being non-judgmental, asking questions, listening to thoughts and answers and exploring options together are the key skills used in coaching.

(3) Balance – Focus is on improving balance in your thinking, language and behavior. A balance between head & heart, performance & disappointment, what is known & unknown, and mind & body.

(4) Responsibility – Focus is on the individual taking ownership of their thinking, feelings, and actions and the effect on their life.

The results with coaching does not only include measurable results, but also focuses on the subjective areas of attitude and beliefs.

Moving from a state a functional to optimal (high performance), is no longer an option but a requirement for the survival of both individuals and organizations in this global environment.

Client Testimonials
“Personally, my favorite part of this whole experience has been the sounding board that having a coach gives you. It has forced me to answer questions that I would not have necessarily answered myself, if it was only me asking the questions, such as why I wanted to pursue one career path over another. Once I had verbalized those intentions, it made the decision process a lot easier.”
